February 2018 Half Term at Stowe National Trust
A fun family day out
Kick off the winter blues and escape with your family this half-term. Step into a world of trails and outdoor fun at National Trust Stowe and burn your kids' pent up energy.
Throughout half-term pick up the Women of Stowe trail and discover hidden stories as you have your own adventure around the garden. From a warrior knight to an all-powerful goddess, pick up a guide and see what you can find out. The trail is free of charge and available daily, 10-18 February 10am-5pm.
There’s plenty of opportunity to explore nature with a free family explorer guide. Every month there’s a different theme for your family to enjoy whilst having a go at some of the ‘50 Things’ to see and do before you’re 11 ¾. Borrow a family explorer guide when you arrive or download it from the website and bring it with you. In February it’s nature trackers; which animal tracks can you spy in the garden? Can you tell the difference between an otter and a fox? Available daily throughout the month.
If you really want to get wild this half-term book to join the ‘Wild Wednesday: Feathery friends’ session. Join the Wild Team to learn more about our feathery friends, collect your own bird spotting guide and make a bird feeder to take home. How many birds will you spot? Receive a sticker for completing one of our '50 Things' - go bird watching, and take home your own '50 Things' scrapbook. The session runs on Wednesday 14 February, 10.30am-12noon. £2 per child (booking essential).
Normal admission applies to the gardens, helping us to restore them back to their eighteenth-century glory and keeping them alive for ever, for everyone. Family tickets are great value admitting up to three children, whilst there are options to choose a one or two adult family ticket. Under 5’s go free. Become a member and you can visit us and over 500 other special places as often as you like throughout the year from as little as £5.40 a month. Our welcome team at our visitor centre are on hand to help with any questions if you’d like to become a member, or to find out more about family activities.
